About Me

My name is Gabriel Bay, I am 17 years old.  I am a senior in high school. I have been sailing for 9 years and I have swam competitively for 5. I have always been interested in engineering and science. I  Sometimes I try to disassemble old electronic things such as computers and DVD players and make them into other things. Once, I tried to make a laser pointer with parts of a blu-ray player. Unfortunately it didn't work and I fried the laser diode, but I learned that lasers need a driver circuit so they don’t fry. I have also recently completed my Eagle Scout project, which involved building a stone arch bridge, which is pictured on the main page. I wanted to build something that would outlast me, and looking at it now, I certainly think that it will.

I came up with the idea for my fusion reactor a few years ago. At the time, I was interested in the possibility of spacecraft that could travel to other planets. I soon realized that this would require a very large amount of energy to travel at any reasonable speed. My dad told me that a fusion reactor could possibly generate enough energy, but nobody had built one that worked. I was told that nobody could focus energy efficiently onto individual atoms. I soon came up with the idea that the impact of a large atom could cause two hydrogen atoms to fuse. This quickly evolved into my current idea.

I created this website because I cannot accomplish much on my own. I need people who are willing to help me develop and eventually test this idea. Without people like you, this will just be just another idea that could’ve changed the world, but didn’t.
